"Be thankful for your small victories; they may be all that you have."
Claire Gutmann
As a parent of small children, life is just living from one small victory to the next. If you look at the big picture it can be very overwhelming. Raising children to become God-fearing, respectful, empathic adults while trying not to scar them for life is daunting at best. However, if you live by the moment (while trying to live in the moment) life becomes much more manageable.
One small victory today was realizing that both my children were old enough that I can actually close the bathroom for the 30 seconds it takes me to pee and almost always they are still alive when I get out. Seems silly for those of you without children. Those of you that have children...well I can see you out there nodding your heads in empathetic agreement.
So if you have small kiddos, remember to take it moment by moment. Because those moments and small victories will eventually add up to a full life with your amazing kids. Right?
